FFA233; Digital Ink & Paint: Vector Illustration Adobe Illustrator.

Hi 🙋 This time on Adobe Illustrator we have to trace a harder illustration. Last time I felt doing this was therapeutic but I feel like taking it back. Anyways, I still get it done so here's the result. Original photo: My version: I weren't able to follow exactly like the original because its not the best quality. The font is also not the same because I can't find it. Kind of satisfied because I completed it but I don't think its my best so I'll try harder for the next assignments!

🐍 For today's class, we started out by playing a game "Be There". We have to choose an animal we want to be and tell why we choose that animal from the perspective of the animal instead of a person point of view. We could pick any type of animal from pets, insects or even the ones in the zoo. The purpose of this game is for us to understand and feel more in depth with a character when doing an animation. I picked snake so I have to introduce myself like "Hi, I am snake". There were many types of animal in the class that day, from cockroaches to chicken to eagles to lion and many more. I picked snake because from my point of view they look nice. So, I introduced myself and said that I like my own skin, I got new skin twice a year, my flexibility of swimming and climbing trees, my ability to eat a huge chunk of meat even though I have a small long body and the fact that snake actually have a cute face.  (credit to the owner of the picture) For

FFA231; Mechanics of Motions: Week 2 (October 5th 2017)

Introduce Your Partner, Trusting Yourself and Trusting Others. Another week, another new games or exercises we're doing. So, this week requires a lot of talking, attention skills and a strong memory. For the first exercise, we were supposed to pair up and listen to each others introduction and tell a little story about themselves but preferably not something basic like birthday and their hometown but more like incidents that have happened to them. We get two minutes each to tell about each others. I paired with the only other girl in the class which is Aini. As someone who didn't talk a lot, I ended up being asked more and the one who gives a lot of contents to Aini. After the time is up, we were asked to re-tell the story we just listened to without exaggerating or adding anything. I didn't get to tell much because all I've listened through the two minutes given were questions. So, I just told En. Ezwan what she asked me. Next exercise is called Trusting Yourself

FFA231; Mechanic of Motions: Week 1 (September 28th 2017)

Rope & Coil and Impromptu Acting Hi, the first class of mechanic of motions left me with shock because I never thought we had to do physical activities like acting and doing exercises with friends. Apparently this class actually will help you understand how different people or objects interact with the environments or different scenes. In the first class, we had two exercises which were Rope and Coil and impromptu acting. Unfortunately, for the first exercise I couldn't participate because there were only two girls in my class which wasn't enough people for the game. But just by looking at the boys, they had to make a group, stand in a circle and clinging to each other as if you're somewhere really high and standing on a rope. They were challenged to organize the circle by name in alphabetical order. If they break the circle they were considered lost or 'they fell from the rope and probably die'. These boys actually succeed the game and no one dies. Next

FFA233; Digital Ink & Paint: Introduction to Adobe Illustrator (Vector Tracing)

Assalamualaikum 🙆 So, on 6th of October we were introduced for the first time to use Adobe Illustrator. It was different yet familiar looking. We learned some shortcut keys and get a better understanding of the interface and then learned some basic things like adding texts and making the fonts our own. Then, finally we were given a task to trace this monkey. I never thought in my life tracing would be this complicated but at least I've got it done. The left one is the original one while the right one is obviously mine. I did a lot of attempts to reach the result that satisfies me. There were so many ways to do this, yet I don't know if mine is right or wrong. I had to trace every lines one by one using this 'Pen' tool. I did a mistake which is not taking screenshots of each progress so that's not good ahaha. Anyways, even though this is a little hard to get used to, it has therapeutic effect on me while following the lines. Would be great i
