In today's class we learned how to have better lighting and shadowing techniques using Adobe Photoshop. I learned that instead of doing shadows and highlights in the same layer, adding them in other layers and adding effects like overlay and multiply make our drawings or illustrations more dramatic. I always tried to do these techniques in my drawings but its not as obvious as this work because we were already given scenes. I'll definitely try out these style of adding shadows and highlights in my future work. before after before after

For this class we were given a practice on how to do superimpose using Adobe Photoshop. I haven't use photoshop for photo editing in such a long time eversince I was maybe 14. Learning this again I noticed familiar tools that I used to use. Above is my final result. After the class, I went to the mall and stumbled upon this green screen in the arcade so I thought this is a good chance to get a full body photo and easily delete the background in Photoshop. I remember Miss Sheila telling the class to overlay our photo with our personalities so heres a collection of photos that I used. My favourite group of friends (Acapianss) A photo that I took during the dusk.  Bunch of photos of things that I enjoy, like or find it aesthetically pleasing. My favourite kpop group, BTS. I mostly love plants, neon lights, photography and bright colours.

On our last class, we watched an animation film to analyze characters. We watched Toy Story and asked to pick a character to follow. Chosen Character I decided to pick Rex because I remembered him the most and I thought of writing about him even before the movie starts. Rex is a plastic, green, Tyrannosaurus Rex. Traits In the movie, Rex can be seen as a really supportive character because he's always supporting Woody who is the leader out of all the toys. He is also a very determined and persistent character. Even if he is a Trex, he doesn't have a scary roar so he always practices to get better in roaring. In the first bit of the film, Rex tried to scare Woody but Woody doesn't seem intimidated at all. Rex is also a very insecure character. He's not confident with his own roar and he always thinks that he's annoying whenever he tries to scare other toys. Other than that, Rex is also an indecisive character from my observations. Hi 🙋 This time on Adobe Illustrator we have to trace a harder illustration. Last time I felt doing this was therapeutic but I feel like taking it back. Anyways, I still get it done so here's the result. Original photo: My version: I weren't able to follow exactly like the original because its not the best quality. The font is also not the same because I can't find it. Kind of satisfied because I completed it but I don't think its my best so I'll try harder for the next assignments!

🐍 For today's class, we started out by playing a game "Be There". We have to choose an animal we want to be and tell why we choose that animal from the perspective of the animal instead of a person point of view. We could pick any type of animal from pets, insects or even the ones in the zoo. The purpose of this game is for us to understand and feel more in depth with a character when doing an animation. I picked snake so I have to introduce myself like "Hi, I am snake". There were many types of animal in the class that day, from cockroaches to chicken to eagles to lion and many more. I picked snake because from my point of view they look nice. Introduce Your Partner, Trusting Yourself and Trusting Others. Another week, another new games or exercises we're doing. So, this week requires a lot of talking, attention skills and a strong memory. For the first exercise, we were supposed to pair up and listen to each others introduction and tell a little story about themselves but preferably not something basic like birthday and their hometown but more like incidents that have happened to them. We get two minutes each to tell about each others. I paired with the only other girl in the class which is Aini. As someone who didn't talk a lot, I ended up being asked more and the one who gives a lot of contents to Aini. After the time is up, we were asked to re-tell the story we just listened to without exaggerating or adding anything. I didn't get to tell much because all I've listened through the two minutes given were questions. So, I just told En. Ezwan what she asked me. Next exercise is called Trusting Yourself...
